Who’s Behind the Quill?

My name is Zavi Quill, and I’m the author of The Thompsons, a children’s fiction series that celebrates family, humor, and everyday chaos. The first book in the series, The Thompsons: Sticky Chaos, Sweet Anarchy, marks my debut as a published author and the beginning of a growing collection of stories written for readers of all ages.

I live in a small town in East Tennessee with my fiancée, two kids, one spoiled dog, and three adventurous cats, where family life is full of chaos in the best possible way. That lived-in, lively home is the heart of my children’s stories.

While I don’t come from a traditional writing background, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. My love of stories began with video games, which I’ve been playing since I was seven, and grew through years of movies, television, and shared family experiences. Those influences shaped how I approach writing today: character-driven, imaginative, and rooted in emotional connection.

I plan to continue writing children’s fiction while also expanding into young adult and adult stories in the future. My children’s books blend humor, heart, and a little bit of chaos, because that’s often where the most meaningful stories begin.
